SoOoOoO...After what was a less than "healthy" memorial weekend, I plan on sticking to the flat belly diet detox the rest of the week. I know alot of you out there may be feeling just as sluggish as me this AM - so I wanted to share it with you!

PS - if you are some hoity toity healthy fitness expert that wants to bash what I am doing to grab a prortein shake and kick rocks. I dont want to heart it...

ANYWAYS - here it is slightly modified since I dont eat fish...

Each day you drink a glass of "sassy water" with each meal
SASSY WATER:
2 liters water (about 8 ½ cups)
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 medium cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
12 small spearmint leaves.

You make your water the night before and let it sit overnight and it is ready in the morning. I LOVE THE SASSY water it is soo soo refreshing! It actually wouldn't be bad with a littke VODKA :) haha. okay moving on...

BREAKFAST- 1 cup special k 1/2 cup skim milk
AM SNACK - SMALL handfull of almonds, sunflower seeds, or rainsens
LUNCH - 4 oz. plain chicken breast or turkey breast sliced lunch meat. 12 grape tomatoes. FF string cheese for desert. Trust me, you will never love string cheese as much as you will at this point lol.
AFTERNOON SNACK - Smoothie. 1 cup Skim milk, 1 Cup fresh/frozen fruit. I like strawberry or blueberry the best
DINNER - 4 oz chicken breast or fish filet/ or 1 can tuna plain. 1 Cup steamed green beans or plain lettuce. you can cheat a little by adding some lemon juice for flavor.

repeat this for 4 days. I cheated very little when on the detox and lost 4 lbs in the 4 days I did it. Definately worth it to jump start a new program, or get back into one after a bad long weekend.

Just wanted to share!!!

Jenna

Thanks for sharing. We went to the beach over the weekend. Great time, and I tried to make healthy decisions, but going out breakfast lunch and dinner. yes...sluggish is the word. Back to healthy eating for me!

    Good for you!

Well I have a question. I thought the whole point of this diet is to increase you monounsaturated fats to get a smaller belly. Did you notice belly fat loss. I'm not too into the water but I do eat almonds, dark chocolate, and avocado. Does that still help my belly fat? Or do I have to be on the complete detox.
