Hi peeps.

So i have been a vegetarian 8-9 years and have been seriously thinking about becoming a vegan.
I live in dublin(ireland)where being a vegetarian is hard enough and being a vegan is unheard of.
I am moving to australia in august and hoping they are a bit more vegan friendly.
Anyway i want to get going so i suppose i am looking for some advice/tips etc from any vegans out there.

Thank You X

I had a brief vegan moment not too long ago after learning about factory farming and how bad quality commercial meat is. I tried it for a month and it is hard at first, but it got easier once you knew what you can eat(Boca has alot of tasty soy-vegan products!) and where to find it in the store. I also had removed all dairy from my diet a month before I even tried a vegan diet.

    These websites helped me:
    http://features.peta.org/VegetarianStarterKit/index.asp
    http://www.vegan.org/

The ‘Skinny B!tch’ book is a good read for vegans too. Lots of tips for veggie/vegan eating.

    Good Luck!

Hi! I've been vegetarian for 10 years and was vegan for 3 years. I'm back to vegetarian now. What I found to be the most helpful was the stick with foods that are naturally vegan. I would eat a lot of fruits and veggies.

A couple of books that are my favorites:
La Dolce Vegan has a lot of simple and fast vegan recipes. I haven't tried anything in it that wasn't delicious!
Eat to Live is a vegan diet plan that will make you lose weight and feel amazing.

    Good luck!
