Does anyone drink/use Ensure products? I've always been fascinated with drinkable supplements, but too scaredy cat to try them.
Any testimonials out there to make me braver or more suspicious?

I have drank them before..but I prefer a soy protein shake to them. But that is just me. They taste ok..but it is just easier for me to buy a powder and mix it up myself. Good luck to you!!!!0

I don't use Ensure products. But I do use protien supplements. I make my own smoothies, or shakes. I always thought Ensure was high in calories v.s. my other supplemets I use. There are alot of options out there. Take some time and read up on them, the internet is a fabulous place to learn and be totally confused!!! Best Wishes!0

I have used Boost before- but only on the advice of my doctor- while recovering from a bout of diverticulitis (which requires a low fat, low residue diet)
They are approx. 240 calories, 4.5 gr. fat, 41 carbs, 23 gr. sugar, 10 gr. protein, 0 fiber.
I can tell you from personal experience, if you want to GAIN weight, by all means- use them. You'll gain it fast.
( like 10 lbs in 6 weeks)
Honestly, they are NOT meant to be a meal supplement for someone who is already healthy and is just looking for an easy quick fix meal.
One of the greatest things I've learned in this journey is to feed my body the way it was intended to run- and stop finding short cuts. None of the easy fixes that just perpetuate my laziness are good for me. Period.
You'll do yourself a greater favor making yourself some yogurt smoothies. BTW, an overindulgence in these which contain corn syrup and/or sucralose have a laxative effect on some people. I can testify to that too- and that's a workout you really don't want, I'm sure.0 -
Yes, I'm taking a mess of vitamins and was thinking I could eliminate those and increase my protein intake in one shot by switching to a drinkable supplement. I guess I need to do more homework. Too many options...
Thanks for the input though.0 -

I am a Registered Dietitian and I strongly recommend NOT taking Ensure products if you are a healthy person who is able to eat real foods. If you want a quick meal substitute - try the Carnation instant breakfast line.0
