Calories burned during Core Synergistics?

I know this answer will be different for everyone depending on many factors. I am just trying to get a generalized idea so I can enter the exercise in MyfitnessPal exercise log. I just started the P90X Lean today and it is going to kick my butt. I could have made a video of the ugliest P90X workout ever. But the important thing is that I am doing it.

I agree! I think the diet guide says it estimates a 500 calorie burn for each workout though if you want a fairly general estimate.0 -

I will agree with my TEAM BRING partner, OLP...the HRM is the way to go...don't cheat your calories you can eat back. I bring it as hard as I can and I typically burn about 700 calories on Core Syn...it's a great workout! Did it tonight as a matter of fact!0

Thank you for all the replies. I will look into the HR monitors, it really isn't in the budget right now, but my health is first. We will see. TayJoMama I am also 5'6" tall but weight 219lbs. I am out of shape and really modified the exercises to my lack of fitness level. So I will give a general estimate of 400 calories. Thank you again everyone.0

I just started P90X Lean and finished the Core Synergistics DVD. It kicked my butt so hard I had to take a 30 min break in the middle to eat an apple after getting nauseous. I should've had breakfast before the workout but was eager to get it going. I searched multiple sites for calorie burn (cause I forgot to turn on my HRM for the full DVD & half of it I was sweating so hard it couldn't get a rate on me. Some sites said as high as 700+ others were in the 400s so I'm going to be conservative and enter 400 to be better safe than sorry and just hope it doesn't put my caloric intake into starvation mode by underestimating.0
