I took the plunge and joined a gym. It is more like a fancy community center. Here is a picture of the facility:

Downsides: The staff looks to be young college kids, and they were not really paying attention to their jobs. Also, no personal trainers on site but you can hire an independent trainer. I have never used any equipment like treadmills, elliptical, etc. and I can sign up for an orientation but the time slots are during the week when I work. I wanted to use an elliptical last night, but was afraid I would look like a fool if I could not work the machine.
There are lockers in the bathrooms, but a lot of people just left their bags and phones in the lobby area. They have a bunch of classes, from Zumba to Thai kickboxing. There is even a drop-off babysitting center.
I just walked on the track last night and there are windows to look outside and down into the gymnastics part, and windows to the cardio/weight room.
The cost is only $20.83 a month and well worth it!! Normally I work out at home with kettlebells and started the C25K and was running outside (inside at a free center if the weather was bad) but I think joining the gym will give me more options and get me motivated even more!!

I am so happy there is a fellow MFP'er close to me!! I love the FSZ so far. My schedule has me going after 5 p.m. when I get out of work, and of course on the weekends.0 -
