Ok I get that we need to eat our exercise calories but when we exercise and our calorie intake goes up for the day what about the rest of our things. I am always over on protein anyhow but with today I will be way over if I eat all my exercise calories. MFP has me on a 1500 calorie diet usually I eat about 1200-1300 and then I try to exercise everyday so I do guess I wind up about 1500. I usually only burn about 300 calories a day with my dvds. Today though I burned 997 calories so I have 2500 calories to eat. How come my calories go up but not my carbs, protein, soduim and other things go up also.

Everything goes up alittle, other than sodium I think. That's the reason I exercise so much, in order to get higher numbers, especially for protein, which I'm almost always over on!
I never could figure out how to eat all my cals. without going over on all my other things either. Sorry, wish I could be of more help to you.

protein, carbs and fats all go up the more you excercise. They each make up a percentage of your daily calorie intake so, the more calories you need, the more protein you need etc. Calcium, sodium, fiber etc do not go up because they are already at a max setting. don't worry about going over in protein. MFP's setting for protein is very very low. As long as you are meeting your requirements in carbs and fats I wouldn't worry. Hope that helps.
