Make it a conscious decision!

 I was listening to a podcast by Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper (as her guest). She said something that resonated with me. She told this guy "when you get to that point where you are on your way to your refrigerator, stop and ask yourself 'what the hell am I doing?'" You have to make it a conscious decision. You can't tell yourself "I am not or I can't do that" you have to tell yourself "I am going to make the decision to have some broccoli instead of cookies."

It's changing your stinking thinking (thanks to my preacher man). Just remember as my husband tells me...we have to remember that food is fuel! :flowerforyou:

I agree. I have been asking myself these types of questions before I go for something to eat:

    1. Am I really hungry?
    2. Do I really want that item?
    3. Do I have the calories for the day for that item?
    4. Is it worth eating?

I find when I question each item I eat, it helps me make conscious decisions on what I put in my body.
