After doing really well in the beginning I plateaued and stayed exactly the same for the last week. This really bothered me because I knew I had a heavy food weekend coming up over the Memorial Day holiday. My daughter's 1st birthday party was Sunday and I knew it would be full of things that I love but that are not great choices.
I was hoping to continue on a good path and then write that day off as a sort of splurge day. Well I kept my head and while I ate double my daily calorie goal it was a long day and a very active one so I offset most of the overage.
I was VERY EXCITED to see that when I got back on the scale when I got home I had not gained a single pound. I was exactly the same as when I weighed in on Friday morning before work.
I know it is a small victory but a victory nonetheless. Now I have dedicated to running a bit every night and adding a few crunches to target the belly. Woo hoo can't wait to see what I get this week.
