i agree completely with you on the walking/exercising! i too started up about a month ago, after being gone for about a year, and it's hard! it does get easier though, the more you do. feel free to add me, and hopefully we can encourage each other along the way.

Give it time! I started jogging about a year ago... could only jog a few yards, then walk some, then jog, etc. Now I can run 4+ miles without stopping and at a pretty good time! As you get stronger and can do a little more each time, you will start to feel better. Don't be afraid to push yourself, but also, do it carefully and listen to your body! :flowerforyou:

Trick yourself into getting a little exercise by doing things like parking in the "boondocks" parking spot, taking stairs instead of the elevator, walking the dog and throwing a ball for him/her, or other little activities that your body doesn't realize are exercise.

You are so right! For me it's 3 months down, and a life time to go! I feel very awkward if I don't log what i eat or what i do exercise wise. I also find because of this site i'm constantly checking labels and trying to make better decisions.

    But good job so far!

Hey Vic, cool bike by the way! :-) I too have been at this now for about a month, and I've found it really interesting - the more I do it the more I realise how out of shape and unfit I had let myself become. But I'm trying to remind myself that it's a good thing, that this whole process is teaching me where I went wrong and how I can make these changes for life. I've seen so many inspirational stories on here of people turning their lives around, it makes me realise that I can do it too - and so can you!

It's all about finding out what works for you, trying new things, new foods, and new ways of exercising. I'm really lucky to have my husband doing this with me - in fact trying harder than me, he's my rock, and it really helps - is there anyone you could share this journey with? Do you have a friend who may join you on a walk, or swim, or game of tennis, whatever floats your boat? Or maybe try doing some sort of class - it can be so much more fun to work out with a team of others who are feeling your pain!

You can do this, this is such an excellent place to find support, go for it. Add me as a friend if you want some more support :-)

Like you said it is a life choice, the exercise will come just start slow and before you know it you will be running a few miles at a shot. Good Job Keep it up. Feel free to add me as a friend,
