I agree with those saying it's from sodium. Being on vacation you probably ate out a lot and although we can find options that are lower in calories, they usually have almost 50% more sodium than anything homemade. Sodium turns into that dreaded water weight we all hate ( and usually suffer an increase in once a month as woman). My advice would be to drink lots of water, make sure you are reaching your daily calorie goal (eating less will not help), and try out a detox tea. I'm loving the Yogi Peach DeTox tea which promotes healthy kidney function as well as helps you get rid of some extra water weight. You can also can also make a homemade detox drink. This recipe is good (and by Jillian Michaels):
1 serving dandelion root tea (I found this at Whole Foods)
2 tsp Cranberry juice (no sugar added)
2 tbsp lemon juice
16 oz water
Wait a few days to weight yourself. Good luck!0 -
Wow, thank you everyone for your advice and opinions on this. I jumped right back into MFP & my work out schedule and am planning on weighing myself this weekend. I definitely didn't drink enough water, that's for sure. But I'm downing it now! Cross your fingers!0
