Fast approaching the big 50 (march/09) and like all of us here I seem to be constantly battling weight gain. I have found over the years counting calories helps alot so I had kept track on a spread sheet until I found this web site. Now if I can just log it on a daily basis!
I have recently taken up cycling which is quite enjoyable.
Started the year at 230lbs
Currently 218
Hope to end the year at 210

Me too! March 10, 2009 I will be turning 50 ... a little less than 6 months. Time ... way past time! ... to get myself in shape.
