Personally all the bars taste like garbage. I've tried at least 10 different kinds. I'm more of a Whey shake person.

This :( I am sad the bars taste so bad. If not the bad taste driving me away, it is the awkward, chewy texture.

Watch the bar because the are usually loaded with bad stuff like sugar.

But if I need to I grab a Snickers Marathon protein bar.
    Best I've found so far.

I usually only see them at the gas station though.. :)

Protein shakes/smoothies, deli meat, cheese etc are good sources of protein.
Spec K protein Plus cereal is good too.

Pria bars (made by power bar) are really good and are suppose to be for women. the calorie count is only 110 calories and they taste like candy. they come in a variety of flavors such as double chocolate cookie, chocolate peanut crunch, vanilla crisp and many others.

I have been eating Luna bars. They are under 200 calories with around 9 grams of protein. Target's Market Pantry has some yummy bars for under 200 cals with 12 grams of protein.

Kashi makes a good bar--go lean crunch bar--150 calories and 8 grams of protein.

I eat a protein bar every afternoon. It satisfies me and I think it has helped me not crave candy. I get a treat in the afternoon that hits the spot but it is much more nutritious than a candy bar.

Promax bars are the best if you are looking for a protien bar and not a snack bar. I dont know off the top of my head but I think they have something like 25g of protein. I like all the flavors, but especially cookies and cream.

My favorite is Met Rx chocolate chip cookie dough. I think the Met Rx ones probably taste the best (their peanut butter pretzel one is really good too). But, they ARE higher in calories and sugar than a lot of other brands. One I like that is lower in sugar and high in protein are Premier protein bars - you can find them at Wal Mart and Sam's Club. They have 8 or 9g of sugar and 30g of protein. (The Met Rx have like 30g of protein, but have almost that in grams of sugar).

Im a big fan of chef jays (tri-o-plex) chocolate chip protein cookies! 145 cals, 10 grams of protein. If i do a long cardio session and get above 700 cal burn i treat myself to a labrada cinnamon roll protein bar sometimes. At 300 cals its a little high for a snack but you get 25 grams of protein. Pop it in the microwave for 15-20 seconds... Glass of skim milk too? Yes please! It's a delicious post workout treat that i don't feel guilty about :) super yummy!!!!
