Bad morning but a great NVS!

What a crazy morning I had, woke up and got on the scale at 5:30AM down to 215.2!! DO a happy dance and step back on the scale just to see the number again, up to 219.2 :-( Now I want to cry.

Get to work and realize I forgot my keys, I live over an hour away and no one comes in for 30-60 minutes after me so I have a choice, wait at McDonalds accross the street ( which would have included an egg mcmuffin) or go for a walk.

I went for the walk :-) :-) :-)

Great job!! As far as the change in the number that quickly...that obviously can't be right. I move my scale around the room until it's in a spot where I get the same number 3 times in a row so I know it's right. I ususally weigh myself in that spot every time.

That sucks! But you did it. You resisted temptation. That was a real test for yourself, to see if your changing your mind set. You passed. Good luck on your continued success. Remember it's a lifestyle change not a diet and you are in control of your life.

Congrats on picking the Walk! You should be proud of yourself and realize how strong you are mentally now :]

As for the scale game...I usually weigh myself only once in the morning and take that as my reading. The same thing happens to me, kind of. I'll weigh myself (today 160lbs) then go and drink a glass of water, weigh myself again (160.4lbs). I know this isn't as drastic as yours, maybe you need a new scale? I used to use buy the cheaper ones until I finally invested in a more expensive one.

    Yeah, what he said!! :flowerforyou:
    Good for you!
  • maybe the scale was just showing you a little preview :) My scale has a ten pound difference according to what room it's in so I leave it on the same piece of tile in my bathroom so it doesn't fluctuate all the time. AWESOME choice you made to take a walk, discipline is priceless!

Great job! My family members are McDonalds junkies, it's tough to resist.
