Cleanse...?

So I have had a rough few weeks and due to poor choices have wound up with some weight I need to re-lose which is oh so frustrating but completely my own doing. I feel a little bloated and like I'm not as "regular" as I was before. I just ordered some fitness shakes from Melaleuca and have not looked into any "official" cleanses but was thinking about replacing breakfast and lunch with a shake for a few days...high fiber or veggie snacks and a sensible dinner...as well as staying hydrated and drinking 3-4 cups of Yogi Detox or Ginger tea. I don't want to starve myself by any means but I was wondering if anyone had any input or advice on the whole idea of "cleansing". I am also starting the month off doing a second round of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Need something to keep me motivated
btw: by a few days I mean like...3!

Cleansing isn't bad, it's recommended to do about every 6 months just to keep yourself maintained. Sounds like you're plan is a solid one. The only think I caution against is working out while you cleanse. You're going to be taking in far less calories. Take it easy and focus on your nutrition.
Also, I wouldn't cleanse more than about 3 days.0 -

I am actually starting Advocare's 24 Day Challenge today. It starts off with an herbal cleanse for the 1st 10 days. I've heard such great things about it so am really looking forward to how it works for me.0

I also think a cleanse every couple of months for a couple of days is good. I also cut back on exercise and do more yoga during this. It is easier on my body. Good luck0

Lots of water is a good idea. Water is naturally cleansing and while you might feel like a walking waterbed for a little while, once your body realizes that you have ample supply of water the extra will wash out and take some serious toxins with it. Don't drown but perhaps half your weight in ounces.0

There are great fasts/cleanses out there... and I think this post makes a lot of great points. You shouldn't work out while cleansing... you can hurt yourself. As for number of days - I think it really depends on the type of cleanse...0
