I've been on here for almost a week now and I feel great! :smooched:

I was wondering. When you guys exercise and get that "extra allowed calories" do you use them. Or do you just stay within your original calorie goal for that day? I don't know if its better to use them or better to ignore them.

Advice is greatly appreciated! :flowerforyou:

  • Welcome! I have been on about a week as well! I am so excited how motivated this site makes me feel! I log in so many times a day!
    I was already exercising & modifying my diet, but this seemed to be what I needed to tie everything together. Good luck!!! We will do this!!
  • Sorry forgot to answer your question about calories.....I sometimes do use them & other times don't depending on the day.

    As long as you don't go over your allotment more than you are under it you should still lose weight. It may be slower than originally projected. The reports should help you to see this.
  • I knew I needed to do something about my weight when I looked on the scale and it said 210! It just keeps going up. I'm afraid if I don't do something I will get worse.

    This site is helping me develop better eating habits! I's rather eat 3 servings of green beans and use only 70 calories than a big mac and use 510!

    I am so glad I found this place! The online community is wonderful as well! I'm just so excited! I got my mom to create an account with me so I'm not doing this alone.

    Its gonna work this time!!!

    Welcome! I do use them, but not all of them or every time. I think it's important to make sure your eating enough cals to contiue loosing the weight but I mostly pay attention to if I am hungry or not. if it's the end of the day and I have extra cals from a big cardio workout but I am not hungry I don't eat them, if I am hungry I do. Somedays I may save them and use them the next day... that was something other MFP person was doing and I thought it was a great idea.
