NSV - Got my left split!!!

When I started getting back in shape a few weeks ago I also started retraining my body for full time dance this summer (starts in 10 days!!). So I stretch intensely every morning, focusing on hip and back flexibility. It's been 10 months since my last real dance class and I finally reattained my left split this morning. (!!!!) I'm not one of those genetically flexible people, so this is really big for me. I was so I excited I literally put my fists in the air and screamed "yeah!" like the end of a cheesy sports movie.

Well, it's the basic concept of PNF, but I stretch alone so it's not reallly PNF. I also do it every day (sometimes 2x) which isn't PNF at all. However, it feels like no matter what I do I'm never gonna get my center split/straddle. That's something I've never been able to achieve EVER....grrr....0 -
Do you do the whole, lay against the wall with weights on your legs thing? (Like whenever you are reading, or knitting, or just need to relax a few minutes?0
