** edit. My title could be misconstrued on this webiste. we are not dieters, we are life changers, but still...

I just saw yet another ad for a new "fat burner."

Who is it targeting this time? Post natel Moms!

My guess is that it is just another mix of the same stuff that is found in all the other supplements. I'm sure the label PROMISES great results. and I am sure TONS of people will buy it!

The diet industry is sooo completely irritating to me.

Please people, don't buy those post natel fat burning pills, or any fat burning pills for that matter. Hard work and exercise will get you the exact results and wont be harmful to your body in the long run.

True that! lol. But seriously those weight loss pills are full of caca! I tried them ONE time and I felt like a raging bull that wanted a twinkie but was to crazy to realize it...or something like that.

MFP can't control what ads come through on the automatic ad service. It's the nature of the beast. They're not necessarily products or services that are MFP endorsed.

I know and Jillian michaels has one too... I do believe they both have come out and said that diet pills don't work.... so I wanna know why they are backing them... can someone say FINANCIAL GAIN!

that is what it is all about... they play on the psychology of us trying-to-get-in-shape- people. They know that if we believe it is working then by golly its not our hard work... its the pill. lol

It irritates me, I wanna smack them!

I dont' think anyone said it was MFP's fault... I am not blaming MFP... just the diet industry,.. the people creating the pills.

And what about new moms who breast feed??? Are you so concerned with losing the baby weight right this minute that you don't care what is going into your breast milk???

And even if you don't breast feed don't you want to set a good example for your new child and do things the right way instead of the "easy" way that will eventually damage your body?

No worries. I wasn't targeting you or anyone else thinking you/they meant anything in particular. It was hard to tell if OP meant MFP or the diet industry in general. I am sure I read the whole thing too fast. :flowerforyou:

Oh well of course the ad specifically stated that this wasn't harmful in ANY WAY to the baby... lol I agree with you. Its like honestly... it took you nine months to gain the baby weight. its going to take ATLEAST that long to lose it.

Our world has now been programmed with this "gotta have it now attitude" everyone needs to slow down a little and enjoy the little successes!

I agree, the whole thing makes me sick!! People in today's world just want things NOW, instead of working hard to get their desired results. No substitute for hard work! Sigh....
