Hey all! I wasn't quite sure what section this question would fall under, but I need help! I've been trying everything to get rid of the white stretch marks I have and nothing seems to be working. (Maybe I'm just impatient lol) Is there any tips/tricks you know of to help?! Thanks a bunch!!!

I hate to say it but once stretch marks go white, that's it. They won't go away (I checked with my doctor). The white fades and fades to such a point that it's not all that noticeable after a while and the pink and red stretchmarks definitely fade to white but they won't go completely. I have some that I wish I could get rid of but they're there for life (unless I ever have enough money for a tummy tuck!).
  • I haven't tried this yet, but my friend says tanning lotion works really well to even them out.

I think they are yours forever. But as my husband says (because I'm pregnant and have stretch marks on my sides) "dudes don't care about stretch marks!" He assured me when I'm naked, the last thing he's looking at are stretch marks! We all have them, and no on cares so don't worry about them! But I agree, mine were pink with my last pregnancy and have faded ...my new ones are dark again so I'm hoping they fade too!

I've heard that stretch mark creams can "help" but I dont think those ever go away. My belly is filled with stretch marks because I had twins but I call them my battle scars :ohwell:
  • lol I know, I feel like these suckers are with me until the very end! I have them on my chest, arms, and lower abdomen (I got these when I started gaining weight rapidly in my teens after diagnosed with PCOS). I'm grateful they're not red or bright pink and tanning DOES help to blend them, I guess I'm just picky! lol One day at a time until I can afford the tuck! LOL Also someone told me it's like a scar on your skin and to exfoliate multiple times a week to stimulate new cell growth? I'll keep trying and keep everyone posted. lol
