Hi guys. I'm Monique. I'm from Jamaica. I recently hit the highest weight I've ever been at (207 lbs) and for some reason going over the 200 lb mark was a real wake up call.

I tried Atkins before and did lose 14 lbs on it, but it came back on (with a vengeance) as soon as I came off the diet (I love baked goods etc too much to stay on that kind of diet).

This time around I went to see a nutritionist who put me on a diet plan that incorporates most of the foods I actually like. I've also started exercising a few times per week.

My goal is to lose 40 lbs in 5 months. Hope I can stick to this new regime :)

Looking forward to sharing with you guys as I go on this journey.
