Hello Everyone. Just wondering what people do or use to spice up their protien shake? My normal shake is as follows:
Intek Evolution Protien
1 Banana
1 TBSP Natural Peanut Butter.......yawn......that's it.
I like my Protien Poweder. I know I can add different fruits. Just thought I'd see if anyone had some new healthy ideas. Thanks !!

when I had vanilla I used straberries, blackberries, or raspberries...only because i'm not a fan of fruit in chocolate! OR you could put in some sort of fruit yogurt...I have done that as well!

    Sounds delicious actually.

I usually go with some permutation of water, non fat milk, peanut butter, banana, and oatmeal (in addition to the whey). I think I'm going to also look into incorporating some kind of fiber in there, going forward.

If you need extra calories coconut milk is great. I like to mix my vanilla with chilled chai tea to make a latte. Otherwise I keep it simple...

Usually, milk, frozen banana, chocolate protein powder, milled flaxseed, couple cubes of ice...and sometimes one mint oreo for quick absorbing carbs in a recovery shake.

If its a low carb shake, I skip the banana but keep the oreo for flavor lol.

I was reading on Lean Body Lifestyle's page where he uses the fat free/sugar free Jello mixers to flavor up his smoothies. He said one packet of powder (not the two that come in the box...one of those) lasts him about a week. He likes the chocolate protien powder with the cheesecake jello flavor lol.

I use vegan protein powder. If I use the vanilla, I use unsweetened rice or almond milk & I add natural almond butter most days, some days I switch that out for berries and a bit of flaxseed powder, if I use the chocolate again I use unsweetened rice or almond milk and sometimes I use natural almond butter, but sometimes I will use a tiny bit of apple juice if I have juiced that day and also a bit of flaxeseed powder.

    Mine go like this...
    2 - Carbmaster Yogurts
3 - Servings Rose Acre Farms Dried Egg Whites (equiv 6 eggs)
    1 - Banana
1/2 cup (measured dry) - Soaked in Water overnight (sometimes milk, sometimes almond milk)
2 - Tbsp Almond butter (sometimes sunflower seed butter, and sometimes 1Tbsp each. I have a peanut allergy)
Water it up until it reaches 28 to 32 oz

Omit Oatmeal and Banana for low carb option.

vanilla with blueberries and peaches without added sugar. Love it. Most days I have 2 shakes and 1 meal and then my fruits and veggies.

By the way ^^^ This guy has it figured out. frozen banana is the only way to go, bananas don't keep very long. Unless of course they are installed in the freezer for a short duration. It seems that very few people know this. It's an excellent way to keep bananas from being wasted.

I either add unsweetened cocoa powder and chopped mint to a vanilla powder protein shake

I have even done chocolate protein powder with baby spinach and peanutbutter and believe me you can not taste the spinach so I get the veg in there too.

I made one for the hubby who hates spinach and he had no idea what he was drinking. I told him later and he was surprised.

you can add canned fresh pumpkin and nutmeg
you can add a few spoonfuls of apple sauce and cinnamon and allspice and cloves
you can add a cooked or canned beet for sweetness

    have fun with it!

    Thanks man!

The other benifit is the smooth frosty texture frozen bananas give the drink versus just plain ice cubes lol.
