Hello!
Today I'm making cupcakes and found a recipe which just calls for a sponge mix and some tinned crushed pineapple.. However on the sponge mix packaging it only gives me the calories for the cake made with the egg and not for just the mix itself...
It's an "add egg and water" type mix so do I just calculate the cake as a while made up per the instructions and then subtract the calories from an egg? Would that work?

That should work, and really..even if you didn't subtract the egg. The number of calories that will be changed are minimal considering its one egg in an entire batch of cupcakes.0
