I don’t know if anyone has seen this or if it was mentioned in an earlier post. There is a website at www.c25k.com that has a free podcast that is also available in MP3 format that will allow you to down load each week session for free and place it on your IPod or Mp3 player. It has music that is played and then the trainer will break in and tell you to run or walk and cool down and so on. This was helpful for me, I tried it last night. I usually use the free application on my phone; however I had issues as to where to put my phone so I always ended up carrying it in my hand.
The only thing I wished it would give you a 10 sec countdown, cause that last few seconds of the run is hardest for me, I think if I knew that I only had so many seconds left I could hold out. Several times I gave out and only had a couple of seconds left. Anyways here is the instructions I got off the website for the downloads. Also this comes in several languages. When you get to this site scroll down about a forth of the way and you will see the languages and a link that says Couch to 5k podcasts.
Robert Ullrey's C25K Podcasts
Robert has recorded nine podcasts to accompany you on your runs. Some great music, plus Robert will tell you when to run, and when to walk...a must have. Note both Podcast and MP3 versions are available by clicking the top menu on his site. MP3 Versions. M4A Versions.
How to add mp3 files to your iPod: First save the mp3 files to your hard disk. Then open iTunes and under “File”, go to “Add File to Library”. Browse for the file and add it. Then in iTunes add the file to your iPod.
I am unsure if the links above will work by clicking it, but this is the paragraph you will be looking for, with the links for MP3 and M4A versions.
More instructions for the download are located under week one.
I hope this helps anyone who are doing this program or wanting to start. !
