IMO, smooth peanut butter is just a waste of calories.

My hubby bought smooth pb. I usually eat crunchy. So I had some today and wondered "Why on Earth would anybody choose this slop over crunchy peanutty yumminess? :laugh: Just sayin.........

    I like my smooth peanut butter, sticks to the top of my mouth, and no texture/crunchy thing going on.
    I do liked chopped up almonds/peanuts in other things, but not my peanut butter.

    IMHO if your peanut butter doesn't contain 100% peanuts, its an unhealthy waste of time. :( peanut flavored corn, soybean oils and salt bleh.

    Oh I don't think they meant anything wrong by it... Lets all choose to not be offended!

    With that said! I prefer smooth peanutbutter.. I have a thing for textures... smoothe and bumpy don't go together.

    LOL Some reasons could be dental issues or diverticulosis (nuts are a BIG no-no in that case but butters are okay). Or just texual preference. Personally I like and buy both. I prefer smooth on my waffles, pancakes or oatmeal, but I prefer crunchy on a sandwich or with veggie sticks.
