According to the P90X nutrition plan at 215 pounds, I should be eating 3000 calories per day. But according to myfitnesspal my calorie in take is 1700 calories per day. So which one should I follow?? Also 3000 calories per day for a female seems like alot!!

I would go with MFP's 1700 but also eat back the calories you burn from the program. So if you burn 500 calories from the workout, you should eat 2200 (1700+500) which would be like eating 1700 and not exercising. 1700-0 = 1700 = 2200-500=1700. This will ensure your caloric deficit is intact for you to lose your goal amount of weight per week. If you burn 800 from the exercise you would eat 2500 (1700+800)1

I'm on day 33 of p90x and there is no way I could eat all the calories it said I should. Honestly, I think that amount of calories is for muscle building not weight loss.
I am eating no more than 1800 calories a day.
I do not eat back my exercise calories.
I'm losing weight with the program. At Day 30 I was down 6.25 inches even.0 -
Are the different workouts for the P90X listed in the exercise database and if so under what names because I can't seem to find them. Will be starting P90X on Sunday and would to be able to see how many calories I burn. Thanks.0

I thought that it was 1800. I did it for 45 days before I took a job at a gym and couldn't workout that hard.
I also found that with my HRM that I averaged 500 cals burned each session.

The P90X's are not in the database. I've worn my HRM, and created my own list on my diary, but it's based on my height, weight, age, gender. And some days I work harder than others, some days I do bonus rounds..... so my burn will vary even doing the same workout.... You should invest in a heart rate monitor and create your own list, because the calories you'll burn will be specific to you.0

MFP doesn't figure in the calories burned from exercise. The P90X program diet does. That's one of the main differences.0

Calories burned will vary from person to person based on intensity levels, and fitness levels. Most of what is in the database are user created and not necessarily accurate for everyone. The easiest way to track is to use a HRM and input your own numbers.0 -
P90x is not designed for weight loss "in it's original, no modified form". People DO lose weight, depending on the calories they take in.P90X, or Power 90 Extreme, is a home exercise system developed by Tony Horton in conjunction with Beachbody, which aims for an improved physique in 90 days through rigorous interval training0

Just going to stick to the "diet" that has helped me lose the last 96lbs and then I am going to just bust my booty with the p90x.0
