Hey all,
I'm ramping up for P90X, and have started to do a low carb, high protein diet. I've been doing it for about a week! (This will only be for about a month, along with the P90X schedule.
I'm flying across the country on sunday, and saturday is my last day in town with my boyfriend... I'm considering pausing my low carb restrictions for those two days, to make eating easier while I'm travelling! (And so I can go out for a last meal with the boy / enjoy his baking) I'm still going to make healthy food choices, and not go over on cals, just not worry about where the percentages come from. Can anyone tell me if / what are the potential downfalls from this??

Thanks,
Amy

Some water weight gain probably, but can be eliminated with a couple of high protein no/very low carb days. High protein diets are really good at getting rid of a lot of unwanted water retention.

    Moderation is the key.
A couple of days isn't much in the scheme of things. You should be fine.
  • You will gain water weight most likely. If you are on a ketogenic diet, you will probably knock yourself out of ketosis. When you start low carb again, you might have the "induction flu" until your body adjusts again.
