Here I come world...

I am a 23 year old wife and mom of one. I have struggled with my weight my entire life, always overweight no matter how much exercise and eating correctly i did. I had my son September 2010 and was 10lb under my pre-pregnancy weight due to the Hyperthyroid portion of Post Partum Thyroiditis. In Feb 2011 I went into the last stage of the PP Thyroid disorder- hypothyroid. Within a matter of weeks, I gained 33 lbs. I worked out prior to this phase, and i proceeded to attend "mommy and me" classes as well as Zumba at the gymplus walking, unfortunatly i had no control due to my underactive thyroid. It is very discouraging. Through hormonal replacement therapy, my thyroid levels are getting back to normal but now i am stuck with all of this extra baggage. And I am on a quest to lose it!

I have realized, through tracking my food, that I do not eat enough-which is crazy to think! but it is very true. This week I have been working on eating enough in general.

When I weighed in at the endocrinologist last, I was 193lb. I weighted 187lb the day i went into labor (nearly 2 weeks overdue), so that is pretty upsetting. I was down to 160lbs after giving birth. My pre-pregnancy weight was 170 (and i thought i weighed a lot then! oh boy, do i have much to learn...) Anyways, I have had this lifetime goal of being 125lb as I am only 5 foot 1 (very short and petite), however, at present my first goal is getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight. When I reach that my next goal is getting to the post partum weight of 160lbs. After that I will be anxious to actually get down to my ultimate weight!

If anyone wants to "friend" me, please do so! I would love to have friends of people in similar situations x
