BMR versus MFP

I am so confused, MFP has me eating 1200 calories per day. I was just reading about BMR and that says I should have 1400... I am totally confused, how many calories should my net goal be and why are they different?

While BMR is not exact is is a point to start at. I never eat below my BMR even though MFP would have me at 1900 calories, I eat 2400 and still drop weight. I used multiple sources to figure out my BMR and more. I have found www.fat2fitradio.com/tools to be very helpful and accurate.0

When I was losing I was happy just to do what mfp said. Now I realise my BMR must be higher than that calculated by mfp. I always lost more than predicted, but just felt lucky :laugh:0
