In need of a Drill Sergeant

I am thinking I am in need of a serious drill sergeant for a personal trainer/weightloss coach. I can seriously rock it on any weightloss phase that I start but am having some serious follow through issues. I am thinking having somebody to kick my butt would be nice. I know I need to be able to find strength and power of will within myself (blah blah) but a little extra oomph would be nice. It would be nice to have a person that would look into my food plan as well.
How much is a normal rate for a personal trainer not associated with a gym membership? How often do you see them? How often and what services do you pay for?

I am a trainer and when I worked at a YMCA it was $25/session. To train at a larger scale gym or with a trainer that pays the gym to be able to train there you will be looking to pay anywhere from $25-100/hour. I would recommend seeing them 2x's per week, depending on your own motivation to follow through or at least start at 2+ per week and then when you feel comfortable in the facility switch to 1 day per week.0

I have also trained at a University's facility and there it was geared towards being affordable for students so it was only $12.50/session and you were able to get a trainer as alumna, faculty, spouse, or student so if that is an option check into that as well.0

I could do 25-50 but probably not more than that especially if I am meeting twice a week. I know how to put a program together and my way around a weight room I need more of the pushing past my comfort zone and kicking my butt out of excuse mode to get to the next level. I am wondering even where to start my search...0

There will be tons of trainers in California. I would start by talking to someone at your gym and asking what the rates are as a first question. If you look at another gym or don't have a membership, ask if you can get a trainer without a membership and if the fees differ. You can also find gyms that are solely personal training facilities. Once you find out if it is affordable for you, start asking members if they've used the services, look for reviews online, or tell whoever it is you are discussing rates with that you need a good recommendation for a tough trainer. Just google your city and the name below of where you want to go or google personal trainer and your city.
