Best foods for the belly?!

Ok so I know I am not the only one out there who would love a quick fix when it comes to having a better mid section =)
They say "abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym" so let's here it, what are your top know to work/help foods?

I know water water water is key...what else? :smile:

    they say monounsaturated fats like almonds,olive oil, dark chocolate, avocado, etc... But its not helping me much and I try and eat at least 2 a day

    IMHO....I think it's more about cutting the bad fats and bad carbs out of your diet as much as possible and of course cardio and strength training. We are what we eat.

    There is no specific food that will help one area any more than another... your best bet is eating a diet rich in wholesome, natural, clean foods. The less the food has been processed, altered, or touched, the better.

    Same old stuff... fruits & vegetables, lean protein, whole grains, healthy fats (mono & poly), limit refined or "added" sugars to 24 grams per day (on a 1500 calorie diet), limit artificial sweeteners, avoid processed foods. Drink water and green tea.

    I completely agree clean diet is the best. Easier said than done sometimes, for me at least. :wink:
    I just thought it'd be nice to get some feedback on what people favorite go to foods/snacks are.

    I love raw all natural almonds.
