Hi All,
I am newly signed up today and this is my start to a self 30 day challenge to make progress before my next blood work & dr appt.
I could use some support to stay motivated and make progress. I am a teacher and most days I get home tired, stressed, and not feeling like doing anything. I want to come home eat right and exercise instead. I feel now is a great time to start a new habit with school ending in 2 weeks. The 30 day challenge is due to reading how it takes 30 days for a habit to form. I'm hoping by the end of thirty days it is a habit and a little easier to keep up with once school starts up again.
I was 1st diagnosed in 2004, need meds for HBP but kept diabetes at bay by losing 30 lbs, changing my eating and exercising. I've maintained that loss, but have gotten no further & was fooling myself I was doing good. Over last 1 1/2 yrs my AC1 started climbing and I started on diabetes meds 2 months ago. At first I was depressed by this and not motivated to do anything else. I've now snapped out of it and know I can make a difference and I really want to be healthier.
Thanks for any help and support,
Marlene

Just a comment. My friend became very ill, went to the hospital, the doctors improperly diagnosed her ulcer problem. She lost over a 100 pounds. She then got very depressed and is finally getting back to her old wonderful self. The one good thing that came out of this was she was a type 2 diabetic all her life. NOT ANYMORE. The weight loss made a difference.
I might be pre-diabetic. Only when I wake up am I slightly high... rest of t he day I am normal. I need all kinds of support to understand HOW NOT TO BE DIABETIC (it runs in my family).
I am a retired teacher. If you are looking for a friend... please befriend me..... botography.... otherwise known as bonnielu0
