Hi, I'm new. I'm 20, a student from England and have a fair way to go. I've had many, many diet starts and stops (even on this site) but I think the mistake I made was going it alone. If no-one know I started, no-one would know if I failed. So this time I'm hoping to actually talk on discussion boards and give and get advice. A couple of my close friends know and they're very supportive so here goes....

Don't think of this as a diet, make it a new lifestyle change. Diets are temporary. Try to stay within your goals and make healthy choices. Learn what works for you. Slow and steady, don't get discouraged. Welcome and good luck.

Hey! Welcome! I'm a 19 year old student, feel free to add me as a friend. I'd love to be supportive of you on your journey and it always helps having people you can relate to to keep you motivated. The last time I was losing weight, my support system failed me and they all quit, leaving me to myself and eventually it was too much to handle as a 14 year old teen! So, I'm back here and people are great offering support!

I agree with the above poster though, don't look at as a diet! It's a lifestyle change!
