    no one food reduces your weight. bananas are high in potassium and that's good. They are also kind of high in calories though, so I usually just have 1/2.

    I have bananas around always! All of us love them but yes they are a little high in natural sugars. However, I find that a combo of an english muffin (whole grain) with 1 tbsp peanut butter and half of a sliced banana is a great combo to keep me fueled for hours!!

    Also, I am hypoglycemic.....and a banana is a great way to keep my blood sugar level.

    As kerrilucko said, no one food does the trick. It has a lot to do with the types of calories you eat. If you're supposed to consume a base of 1300 calories, you can do that with easy prepackaged "100 calorie" packs and other processed foods, but you will find that you're over doing it on your carbs and sodium. If you stick to more natural foods, and watch the calories, you'll not only feel more satisfied, but you will lose that weight!
