is it a good idea to incorporate high protein snacks such as Adkin bars/shakes instead of Fiber 1 bars whentrying to cut calories, fat, carbs, etc? I noticed they are about the same calorie wise but have more potein and like 20 less carbs. Please help!

If your goal is to increase your protein intake then bars are a good choice. They aren't the best for keeping carbs low, however. Many protein bars are loaded with carbs, and not always the good ones. Protein powders are usually better about keeping the carbs low. Though honestly, you want to fill yourself with as much "real" food as possible and avoid the powders and bars. Long answer short: yes the bars and powders can increase your protein and decrease your carbs.
