I am on 1200 calories per day, I was just wondering if anyone saves their exercise calories and uses them all at the weekend, or if this is possible.

I find I cannot save from my food calories as that would be going too low

I do it all the time Cat. Just don't save them more than a day or two, or you might cause your body some real problems. Your body does need to replenish.

    It works for me :)

My dietician said that you should maintain consistency each day. Eating just 1200 calories when you are exercising will starve your body and slow your metabolism. Then by shooting up much higher on the weekends, your body will store the extra calories (and sodium) and you will not like what the scale says for a few days after. Try sticking to a consistent, realistic number of calories each day for optimal results.

It probably can't hurt to carry it over for a day or 2, but you probably shouldn't store up 2,000 cals during a week and then kill it w/ a 3-4,000 calorie day on the weekend. I could easily get to well over 3,000 by cleaning up a plate of nachos on the weekend...
