Hi,
Just wanted to jump in and introduce myself! I have definitely struggled with my weight all my life, but have at times been able to be fit and healthy and in a good weight range.
Now that the kids are gone, I was happy to be able to focus on work a bit more, but wasn't prepared for the fact that when you are no longer running around with them, the pounds will certainly add up!
Everyone at home is very supportive of me, which is just great.
My goal is to lose 45 pounds, and on my very small body that is way too much extra to be carrying! Since I can barely lift a bag that weighs that much, how in the world do I carry it around every day!?
Good luck to everyone!
JH

good luck to you as well...this site is wonderful....once you get used to tracking the calories and exercise, look into the reports, the message boards and community are very helpful.....i would also like to lose about 40 pounds(which i gained after turning 45, starting menopause and going through a divorce)the most important tip that i can offer is to try and get a handle on the portions, once that is control all other things come into place....again good luck with your journey...0
