summer heat

Okay, where I live the heat and humdity are already off the charts and I don't do well in the heat. I do my walks daily, but that alone is enough to kill my appitie. I am finding a problem with not feeling like eating, I'm drinking TONS of water, but what do I do when I just simply don't feel like eating or eating makes me feel ill because of the heat? I'm forcing myself to hit 1200 calories a day, but it's more of a chore than anything else, plus I really don't want to make myself sick eating when my body simply doesn't want it. This only happens to me when it gets hot out, but I really don't know how to make it work for me.

Try having a fruit smoothie or a protein shake, so that helps with some calories and feels you up without making you feel sick. I'm the same way with the heat as well.

I agree with the smoothies! I have one a day usually, typically after my workout.
    I use:
2/3 to a cup of berries (your choice! grocery stores usually have mixes of frozen berries. I have a choice of mixed berries, strawberry/mango/pineapple, and plain strawberries in my freezer)
low fat plain or vanilla yogurt
a little milk (half cup i think)
    Protein powder
    4-6 ice cubes

I like to get a little inventive sometimes and find what tastes good and works for me, and you can find other recipes, this is just what my basic guideline started out as. this usually gets me a good amount of calories and it is nutritious. Good on a hot day :)
