Hi, I am just getting stared with this site. Anyone have any advice?

    I'm fairly new as well. Have been on a 1200 calorie diet for a week now. I've lost one pound so far. I also exercise 5 days a week. Any new suggestions welcomed as well!

    Hi and welcome to mfp. This is a great place with terrific support. My advice to you would be make lots of friends on here to keep you motivated, drink lots of water, track everything you eat and do some type of exercise everyday. For me, it was baby steps because I hadn't exercised in a long time so find something that is fun that doesn't feel like exercise to you if you have been inactive for awhile. Also, tracking your sodium is a good thing to do too because that darn sodium can make you gain weight and hold on to every single pound. Avoid processed foods, canned soups and frozen dinners like lean cusine. You are better off eating fresh fruits and vegetables when you can get them. You can do this:) Add me if you like.
