Most people say bump when a topic is interesting to them and want to hear more from others. By saying "bump" you now have that thread in "your topics" so it is easier to find again. Does that make sense? (sorry long day) lol

Well, that makes sense, I was thinking it was like your giving a fist bump. Like a congratulatory thing.

I always use it to make posts show up at the top of the recent post list, so it gets more responses if i am interested in the topic, so more people have an opportunity to see it.

Bump = Bring up my post.

Although on here most people just use it to bookmark a post they are interesting in reading later or following as it logs in my topics when you answer.
