BK Breakdown
ROYALLY avoid these words...
Whopper - With one exception (we'll fill you in later!), saying "Whopper" is going to get you a ginormous fatty burger slathered in mayo and possibly topped with cheese. The Triple Whopper with Cheese clocks in at 1,250 calories and 84g fat (POINTS® value 31*). OMG!!!
Stacker - "Stacker" seems to be code for "Keep those pesky veggies off my burger!" It's a big ol' pile of beef, cheese, bacon, and goo on a bun. The simplest form of Stacker -- the BK Stacker Double -- starts at 620 calories and 39g fat (POINTS® value 15*). And GUESS WHAT?! You can get up to 4 patties, which would total 1,010 calories and 70g fat (POINTS® value 26*)! Um, AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Crisp - "Crisp" is the word added to most of the chicken items to indicate their oily, deep-fried state. For example, the Tendercrisp Chicken Sandwich sizzles in with 780 calories and 43g fat (POINTS® value 19*)! "Grill" is the word to keep in your BK vocab. Let's review. "Crisp" bad. "Grill" good.
Sundae - To the King, "sundae" seems to be an excuse to put as many crazy things on a dessert as possible. 960 calories and 32g fat (POINTS® value 21*) in a medium Chocolate Oreo BK Sundae Shake? With numbers like that, it's not just a "sundae" -- it's practically enough dessert for an entire week!
Have It Your Way... REALLY!
Special orders don't upset them...
Sandwiches, Etc.
Tendergrill Chicken Sandwich w/o Mayo - 400 calories, 7g fat, 49g carbs, 4g fiber, 36g protein (POINTS® value 8*)
We don't know WHAT they're putting in that mayo, but we're having no part of it. Nix it every time! Eat only half the bun, and you'll knock the total down to around 275 calories and 5.25g fat (POINTS® value 5*).
BK Veggie Burger w/o Mayo - 340 calories, 8g fat, 46g carbs, 7g fiber, 23g protein (POINTS® value 7*)
Comes complete with a delicious, oversized Morningstar Farms patty. HEADS UP, VEGANS and VEGETARIANS! According to the BK site, this is NOT a vegan product. But it is cooked in the microwave, so there's no chance it's mingling with regular burgers on the grill (or accumulating extra oil!).
Whopper Jr. w/o Mayo - 290 calories, 12g fat, 31g carbs, 2g fiber, 16g protein (POINTS® value 6*)
The one exception to our "no Whopper" rule. It has virtually the same stats as the plain hamburger, only it has WAY more fresh veggies. YES!!!
Ham Omelet Sandwich w/o Honey Butter Sauce and Cheese - 220 calories, 7g fat, 29g carbs, 1g fiber, 11g protein (POINTS® value 5*)
There REALLY is no other remotely light breakfast offering. This is the only b-fast sandwich that doesn't come on a buttery croissant or biscuit -- it's just on a normal hamburger bun. If this ham-and-egg-on-a-bun sandwich is mildly lame-sounding to you, you should probably find somewhere else to start the day. Just some friendly advice...
Tendergrill Chicken Garden Salad (No Dressing, No Croutons) - 240 calories, 9g fat, 8g carbs, 4g fiber, 33g protein (POINTS® value 5*)
HG Tip! If you want dressing, stick to the Ken's Fat Free Ranch (60 calories, POINTS® value 1*). That Light Italian might sound safe, but it's still got 120 calories and 11g fat (POINTS® value 3*). The bad news is that the Fat Free Ranch is only available at select locations. BOO! But the Light Italian is the next best thing, so maybe just use half that packet.
Sides
Side Garden Salad (No Dressing, No Croutons) - 15 calories, 0g fat, 3g carbs, 1g fiber, <1g protein (POINTS® value 0*)
A VERY basic salad, but if you want to throw some croutons on there, the pack will add 60 calories, 2g fat, 9g carbs, 0g fiber and 1g protein (POINTS® value 1*) to your salad. And stick with our dressing tip above.
BK Fresh Apple Fries (No Caramel Sauce) - 25 calories, 0g fat, 6g carbs, 1g fiber, 0g protein (POINTS® value 0*)
Cut to look like real French fries, these sweet babies are even sweeter with that 35-calorie packet of fat-free caramel sauce! Factor in the sauce, and your total's only 60 calories, 0g fat, 16g carbs, 1g fiber, and 0g protein (POINTS® value 1*). These aren't just for kids, people!

Lord of the Onion Rings - BK uses rehydrated chopped onions in their rings (eww!). These are better...

Sarah and I went to BK the other night and had veggie burgers - totally awesome! If you've had the veggie max patties at subway its the exact same patty since both are made by gardenburger. Comes with no cheese by default, although it does normally come with mayo. It was really good.0
