I don't think kids should worry about their diet. Frankly if the eating habits in the home are good, then the kid's habits will be good. It's for the parents to worry about the kids' diet and the kid to eat what he is given.
But kids should be encouraged to exercise more and not sit around indoors all day with a tv and computer. And parents should realise that the actual chance of their kids being snatched by a pedophile or murdered or whatever if they go play outside is negligable and stop being so neurotic about it and cooping them up indoors all the time.0
