Generally speaking, it's not bad. At least I have not heard of it being bad, the extra is just not used up in muscle maintenance/development. What percentage are you shooting for?0

I tend to be a little heavy on the protein side too, but for me it fills me up and makes me feel better than loading up on carbs.1
