Hi all, I want to add pasta to my tracker but not too sure about the weights - do they list it as cooked or dry weights?

Thank you

Most pasta a serving size is 2 oz dry ususally about a cup cooked. The other day I had Barilla protien plus multigrain thin spaghetti 2 oz dry turned out to be 5.6 oz cooked. Of course it will be different for the other types of pasta. hope this helps.

so for example today I am eating wholewheat pasta - the traker gives me an option of 100g - would that be the dry weight?

Pasta is usually measured as a dry weight :D
(because you can never tell how much water it's gonna absorb, which could effect the weight significantly)

so does that mean if it says 100 grams of dry pasta it doesnt matter how much it weighs when its cooked i can still eat that same amount and record it in my diary as 100 grams of raw pasta??

    Yup :)

    - When it's cooked all you're adding is water, and water has no calories. :D
If you fry it though (e.g. stir fried noodles) it'll have a higher calorie content. (cause of oils and things)
As a side note, rice and noodles are usually measured raw as well.
