Hi all, I want to add pasta to my tracker but not too sure about the weights - do they list it as cooked or dry weights?
Thank you

Most pasta a serving size is 2 oz dry ususally about a cup cooked. The other day I had Barilla protien plus multigrain thin spaghetti 2 oz dry turned out to be 5.6 oz cooked. Of course it will be different for the other types of pasta. hope this helps.0

so for example today I am eating wholewheat pasta - the traker gives me an option of 100g - would that be the dry weight?0

Pasta is usually measured as a dry weight
(because you can never tell how much water it's gonna absorb, which could effect the weight significantly)0 -
aahh thank you0

so does that mean if it says 100 grams of dry pasta it doesnt matter how much it weighs when its cooked i can still eat that same amount and record it in my diary as 100 grams of raw pasta??0

Yup
- When it's cooked all you're adding is water, and water has no calories.
If you fry it though (e.g. stir fried noodles) it'll have a higher calorie content. (cause of oils and things)
As a side note, rice and noodles are usually measured raw as well.0 -
