I’m at the cottage this week, I brought up my 5 lb tub of protein powder and all but noticed when we got here Friday night there is no longer a blender :( So in to town we went and I picked up a Sunbeam blender from Walmart, $24.95 Cdn, crazy cheap. My intention was to return it after the week was up but this thing is so darn good, it doesn’t hesitate at the sign of giant ice cubes or even a kashi granola bar I decided to toss in it this morning that its giving my Cuisinart $100 one at home a super run for it’s money.

Just wanted to let you know how great this little guy is especially for those of you who are students on a budget or others trying to balance their new healthy lifestyle with the ongoing needs of your family.

*Couldn’t find it on the Walmart website so here are all the details/photo from Sears where it is $34.95 – boo! ;)

It's Walmart, it's an appliance if you are not happy with its performance of course you can return it. I can't get the blade to screw off, had 3 people try so technically I am returning it due to a default so my conscience is clear but way to put a bummer on my posting that was just supposed to help out people on budgets, low-income or just love an awesome sale like me. Buzz kill.

You're the one who stated that you intended to return it after a week of using it....

There is a little saying that parents tell their children, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. I’m sorry no one took the time to teach this to you.

If you can’t benefit by information on an affordable effective blender, then go read a thread that is of more interest to you.

It’s sad how you're attacking a thread that is doing nothing but trying to help out others but trying to be a savior of retail giant Walmart. They can defend their own battles and if their goal is to make there customers happy by offering a return policy to help others out, so be it. My intention may not have been pure but the results are so I can sleep at night but you kicking and screaming about a stranger on the internet who intended on returning a blender, well that stupid sh** may keep you up at night, what a waste of time that is.

I'm off to go enjoy the sunshine at my cottage now and chill in my bikini. If you’d like to continue the battle, I hope you find someone who cares.

    TTFN.

I didn't say anything unkind or negative.... I asked a question.... besides I'm quite blunt so I will always speak my mind regardless....!

    ALSO

I didn't 'attack' a thread as you so kindly put it.... I asked a question....

OBVIOUSLY I must have a hit a nerve..... or your conscience must be telling YOU something.....

Marianne is right, you couldn't just return anything in the UK that you had used just because you no longer had a need for it or didn't want it anymore unless it was genuinely faulty! If it was that easy then I'd have a new gadget every week to try out!

I sort of agree with Marianne also. You shouldn't return something that you've used just because you don't want it anymore. Unless there was something wrong with it, you keep it.

BUT aside from all that, it's a great deal! I'd consider getting it. You couldn't get the blades off of yours? Ehh, I can work around that if it happens. I need a new blender; mine legit smells like a fire every time I turn it on.

I wouldn't buy something, use it and then return it either. I am a low income person, but I get my sales legit. There are loads of bargain sites out there that show you how to save & shop on a budget

The blender isn't that big a deal. I have a cheapie no name that works like a champ. Just look for a good sturdy blender, preferably with a glass carafe. Mine cost less than $20
