Frustrating

This past weekend I went on a road trip because of a death in the family, I was unable to work out Friday as I was driving all day after I left work. Sat and Sun I walked 6 miles in the morning each day, but was back in the car sunday afternoon. However I ate normally, more than I should have but not too outrageous, less than 3000 cal on sat and sun but was still under 1500 for Friday.

It might take 3400 cal to loose a pound but I suspect that it only takes about 1000 cal over to gain a pound - thats right. I gained 4 pounds over 3 days even though I still walked, Plus I was under my goal by about 200 average for the week.

Why does it gain back so freaking fast? My guess is that if I want to stay thin I must stay on a diet, either loosing weight or maintaining it. I had 2 lbs to go for my goal weight but now I must loose 5 to reach it. What really gets me is that I did not over eat, I just ate normal size meals.
