Reached a goal but depressed...

I went from Size 14S/+170lbs/36G to size 1R/129lbs/34D I thought that I would look differently than I do, feel amazing and be so freaking happy but I'm not. I'm 5'2" and on me 129 is still not thin. I have a muffin top still and my arms are still flabby. My goal is still not met but I thought this mile stone would feel like a triumph not a huge flop. Has anyone else gone through this?

I am at the exact same place. 5' tall 126 pounds and not happy with my overall look. I started lifting heavy weight. Everyone say it will help. We will see. I might also try to go down to 120 pounds. Good luck !!!0

I am still a looooong way from my goal, but try to remember that you have come a long way. I would LOVE to be where you are right now. You have earned every bit of the happiness you should be experiencing. Look at some old pics of when you were heavy. THAT should motivate you!
Good luck hun! Chin up.0 -

I'm dealing with the exact same thing. I'm 5'5" and I reached my original goal of 130, but I look in the mirror and don't see what I expected. It's hard because I know how far I've come, but I thought I'd be skinny at 130 especially since I've been doing 30DS and running. I'm definitely thinner than I ever have been, but my belly is still pretty soft, and there's a lot more of it than I expected to see at this point. Everyone keeps telling me how good I look, but I'm having a hard time seeing it. I think it just takes a while sometimes for your brain to adjust. Give it time! :-) For me, I've decided I'll just keep exercising and being healthy, and eventually my body will catch up. I might not lose much more weight, but I'm hoping to keep building muscle and burning fat.0

I feel like I'm going through the same thing. I'm also 5'5" and about 127. I dont' worry about the scale/weight, but I'd like to lose some more "size" in my butt/thighs area. Since I can't target, I just have to keep working hard. I'm adding some more strength exercise. Just started bootcamp this morning, so we'll see if that helps.

some peopel have body dismorphic disorder...where no matter how thin you are, you still see yourself as the "old body"...and because you see yourself every day it's hard to notice the changes. I agree with the other post, start looking at pictures of yourself and what you use to look like. Change your gym routine to start targeting specific areas, like lifting weights and doing some serious calisthetics. Cardio is still great, but it's time to start toning if you're not happy with your arms or your waiste...but don't get down on yourself, you've accomplished something amazing. And like you said, it's only 1 goal...make another one and gear towards it. Might be time to find a trainer so you can target what you want your body to look like. I don't make mini-goals, I don't know how, I just have my big goal and then I'll go from there to what I want next.0
