Okay winos... I have to admit that I haven't had the best past few days - that siren call of the bottle of red got me good.

Last night I had 4 glasses...which on it's own wouldn't be sooo bad if it was one of my 'drinking days' but unfortunately, it wasn't and to make matters worse, I had 4 glasses the preceding night as well....

Tonight I have a work engagement I have to go to (free wine/beer) so I am going to commit myself to only 1 glass and then stay 'dry' until a birthday party I am throwing for my husband on Sunday.

Wish me luck. :drinker:

How are the rest of you doing?

I didn't do very well last night either, I had 3 glasses. I am trying to have just 1 glass a night. I did a long bike ride today, so I will probably have 2 glasses tonight.
I have finally gotten back into a better exercise routine, and that usually helps me stay more on track with the wine.
    good luck tonight:smile:

You were me six months ago!! I think I am reformed now. The trick for me was training for a 62 mile bike ride. Getting up at 5 am and riding 50 miles on a bike after a bottle of wine was the PITS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gave up my wine very quickly!! My ride is a week from Saturday and you better bet your bottom dollar that I am celebrating with a nice bottle of merlot!

ENJOY that merlot - you certainly earned it! 62 miles is awesome!

I need a motivator (or I at least need to lower my tolerance so that drinking this much effects me more strongly so that I can feel it and regret it) so I think I am going to try and not drink for a week and then reward myself with a nice glass of wine out at dinner... not that training for a 62 mile bike ride isn't tempting - but I think I'll leave that motivator to you.

    Good morning everyone
I did pretty good last night. Instead of wine, I had 1 long island iced tea and that was it:smile: Hopefully I do good again tonight, but it is the weekend so we'll see.

i will swap seltzer with lime out in between absolute and seltzers...
    happy weekend.
i never got to the gym this week ... ugh
  • I had too much wine last night. Which has resulted in a slight hangover and a severe case of the munchies. I am not so disappointed in the wine I drank, it was my only night this week including this weekend. I am disappointed that I didn't get up early to workout and I have been eating sugar based food all day.
But I promise to be better and hopefully will workout tonight.

    Good luck.

O, I've been terrible. Coffee and wine. Starting again tomorrow. lol. Along with running around finding home-gym equipment!
  • Can I join your group? I don't drink wine though. Just Coors light is my weekness!

    welcome:flowerforyou:
that's what I'm drinking tonight. I'm going to try to be good tomorrow, but the weekends are my drinking nights, and during the week is when I need to limit myself to 1 glass of wine a night.

O lordy, what a weekend. Smaller glass, but I don't know if it made a difference.

    Starting over today. Again. lol.

The hubby and I bought a few pieces of gym equipment and I have been doing my videos, so I'm hoping that being busy in the evenings will prevent over indulging. Plus, i need to lead by example...lol

    yes, what a weekend lol
Well I also start over again today. I usually work out in the mornings, so the evening is when I get to relax (which gets me into trouble:tongue: )and have hopefully only 1 glass, so we'll see how it goes.
    good luck tonight:smile:
