I'm new to Myfitnesspal! I've been on here for a few weeks now. I need the motivation and reinforcement to keep it up!!

I'm tired of being tired!!

    You can do it. We all need the encouragement. I have been working towards my weightloss for a long time now but joining this has made me far more aware.
  • You've made the first step. Joining. Now just remember to track your food and exercise. And aslong as you follow along and don't eat more than your allowed calories, you will be successful. Good Luck!
  • I've been on this site for about a year. I've lost 28 pounds. Then I slacked a little and gained about 5 back. I deleted my first username and thought a fresh start is what I need. This past week I lost 3 1/2 pounds! just about that much more and I'll be where I was in March. When I was in the 230's, in March, well just barely in the 230's...I was at 237, then I slacked and went up to 243 then the next day I was 245. No no no...I didn't like that, so I got busy again. On Saturday (my weigh in day) I was 240.5...one more and I'll be back in the 230's.

    I know you can do this. You've heard this before...if I can do it, anyone can. Ha. I've been overweight for 30 years! You know my dr. was right...lose weight and your cholesterol will come down, you'll feel better, you'll have more energy. Last time I went there was March...he was right! Dr. told me to not concentrate on strength training, get in the cardio and make sure I sweat, and to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. Needless to say, since I slacked, I've got some catching up to do.
