Primal/Paleo Blueprint Question

For those of you onthe Primal/paleo blueprint diet, how often do you eat fewer than the mfp calorie recommendation (and how much under are you)? today i fell way under 1200cal after exercising. but i'm not feeling extremely hungry and i hate eating heavy late at night. i'm just concerned because if i fall under calories like this after exercising i'm gonna have to be eating all day! while this COULD be awesome, i just don't have time to eat like that (i have client's to see!).

Hey! Your post was buried! I fairly often eat under MFPs calories for me, especially on the weekends. I can easily fall 500-1000 calories below my reccomendation (1950cal/day). I'll IF once a week, again on the weekends, for 17 -20 hours or more. I think it is important to fuel the body with energy you need, and the body will tell you that you that you are hungry. If you are having headaches, having sluggish workouts, etc., then I would worry about, but if you are pain just not hungry and not feeling the side effects of not eating, then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Also, just remember your body will run off of stored fat, so if you have a lot to lose (like I do), then you probably will be in even a better position. On the flip side though, I'll go over calories and not feel guilty especially when I have done heavy workouts during the week. Just listen to your body.. it knows what it needs.0

thanks for your response! i will probably repost this question tonight to get some more feedback. i'm not on a full primal/paleo diet, but i AM fasting, so meat, dairy & most grains/breads are out of the picture, at least for now. i have noticed i'm more tired and sluggish, but i'm thinking it might be from low protein intake (i stopped having my daily protein shake due to my fast). i'm still workin out 4-5days/week (training for a 10mile race in fall). i like the idea of the paleo diet and will probably get more into it after my fast. of course i will be adding my protein shake just because finding time/desire to eat enough protein to fuel me is such a challenge already!0

Post it on this thread and you'll get lots of responses within the day from people who actually are primal/paleo and then you won't get all the back-lash from critics.
