Why no "extra calories" for reps???

So I got a bench and dumbells and a list of good arm free weight exersices. I spent about 45 minutes doing reps..... and when I went to add it to the exercise log (and win back enough calories for some goodies) it was nothing doing.
Anyone know why it doesn't count for calories? I thought someone said weightlifting helped burn fat?

simply go under cardio section, and type strenth training, and put how long you did it, && it will show you the calories burned.
the one below is to just track what weights you did, not how many calories you burned doing so.
hope it helps!0
