Hello community! :)

I'm from the Bay Area, turning 25 this year! I have been using MFP iphone app for a couple weeks now and I really like it. Most days I update my food diary diligently, but now it's getting a little boring, so I thought it might be more fun if I had a few friends on here, we can keep each other motivated/accountable, etc.

My goal is to lose 20lbs, I'm currently on week 5 of C25K, also hoping to run/walk the SJ rock n roll half marathon this October.

Please feel free to add me or send a message! Promise I will be nice :)

    Hello Bay Area.

Cantabrian ere.. good to see you.. This place is great.. Dunno how you stick with doing it on the phone all the time though.. I keep forgetting i can do it on the phone and end up pocketing the packets of any stuff I eat when I out to bring home and fill in.. Duh....

    :) Gary

Please feel free to add me :)

    Hehe, thanks guys :)

Gary, I used to use the site only, but I'd often forget to include a few things by the end of the day...not all packaging is savable.....It's amazing how many random things I snack on until I started keeping track of it all. One downside about the phone app is no forum access though..

    Hoping you'll having a good Tuesday :))

    Helllo Jterry :)

The weather has been acting weird this year, it's pouring... in June!! Very unusual for the bay.

Yes, everyone is very encouraging and nice, I'm glad I posted here :))

    HI Kiwicakes,

I'm also from the bay area San Jose to be exact and I'm also on the c25k currently on week 6 day 2. I also plan on doing the rock and roll marathon in October! But before that i plan on doing a 5k sometime this summer!

I agree this weather is being weird, minus today has been beautiful!! Looking to add a few friends my self for extra motivation and support! :)

    Ohhh wow, hello greenhumancaly :)

We are very close then! So glad it's finally sunny! I usually do my runs at LG creek trail, it's the only one I know that has decent amount of shade so I can go whenever during the day.

I think I might stay on week 5 for a while, my speed is really horrible, so I kind of want to improve on that before going into week 6.

Do you know of a 5k race that's happening over the summer? I'd love to do it too!

    Hello Kelbe!

Seems you are doing great on your weight loss journey! Good job :))

Thanks for replying :) I've been to Modesto before! Pretty sure I had the best yellow peach I EVER had in my entire life there. Such delicious fruit.

    Hi Sarah,

A hundred pushups sounds ambitious haha, I have no fear for c25k, but pushups.. I feel pretty hopeless about that.

Unfortunately I'm still on W5D3 of c25k, I took a week off after my dental surgery, now week 5 is suddenly harder to do, I guess you really need to stick to the plan.

    Thanks for replying, added. :)
